Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Birk-Urovitz is currently Interim Director of Population Health Services at ICHA. Liz is a physician certified in both public health and preventive medicine (PHPM) and family medicine who completed medical school at McMaster University before pursuing residency training at the University of Toronto. As part of her residency training, she completed a combined Interdisciplinary MPH at the University of California, Berkeley. Liz has broad interests in PHPM and was keen to join Population Health Services at ICHA initially as a Population Health Physician. She is also particularly fond of teaching, and is a faculty member at both NOSM University and the University of Toronto. She is an Academic Advisor for the University of Toronto’s Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residency Program.
