Mr. Brian Edmonds is a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant and holds a master’s degree in health sciences administration from the University of Michigan. His executive interests include strategic planning, fiscal accountability, change management, and corporate governance.
Brian is currently retired, but through his career provided interim executive leadership and strategic consulting advice to over 20 Ontario-based teaching and community, private and public health service providers as these organizations looked for performance improvement opportunities. Through these engagements, Brian worked extensively with the full Board and the Audit and Finance Committees of these organizations.
For seven years, Brian was the Vice President, Finance of the Trillium Health Centre where he was instrumental in developing tools to enhance decision-making and fiscal accountability, and in leading performance monitoring projects. Brian also played a key role in the financial turnaround of St. Michael’s Hospital and has also worked with a variety of Ontario Ministry of Health Committees.
Brian also has over ten years of experience in the private sector including Quebecor, Bell Canada Enterprises, and The Sports Network. Brian is currently Chair of the Board of one healthcare organization and Treasurer of the Board of two other healthcare-related organizations.
